About Healing Arizona Veterans

Who We Are

Healing Arizona Veterans provides treatment to veterans suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The main form of treatment is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). Additional treatments such as IV Therapy, supplements, and Infrared sauna will be available on an as needed basis.

Realizing that the Federal Government does not currently support HBOT for treating TBI and PTSD, and may not do so in the foreseeable future, the state of Arizona passed the bill HB2513 in March 2018 in support of this treatment and to provide seed funding for the effort.

Arizona’s approach is slightly different from other states. An effort has been made to set up a Private-Public partnership to provide funding for treatment of veterans at two privately owned and operated, six-person HBOT chamber locations, one in Tucson (NorthStar Hyperbaric) and another in Cave Creek (HBOT of Arizona). These two large-capacity chambers can treat close to 300 patients annually. Additional providers will be added as needed.

Healing Arizona Veterans pays for veterans’ treatments at at these facilities. The cost to fully treat 1 veteran is $12,000 (80 sessions at $150 per session). The State of Arizona has approved $25,000 (in seed money) for this therapy for veterans.
